The Quality Continuous Improvement Manager is responsible for leading and managing the continuous improvement initiatives within the organization. This role focuses on enhancing product quality, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction through the implementation of Lean, Six Sigma, and other quality improvement methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:

Overview: The Health and Safety Coordinator is responsible for implementing and managing health and safety programs to ensure a safe work environment for all employees. They work closely with management and staff to develop and enforce policies and procedures that promote occupational health and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

Policy Development and Implementation:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Regularly review and update existing policies to reflect changes in regulations or organizational needs.
  • Training and Education:
  • Conduct training sessions for employees on various safety topics, including emergency procedures, hazard recognition, and use of protective equipment.
  • Ensure that all employees receive adequate safety training upon hire and whenever new processes, or equipment are introduced.
  • Risk Assessment and Hazard Identification:
  • Conduct regular inspections of the workplace to identify potential hazards and risks.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Inspect oversize parts and angle frames received from the Finish department. Ensure that they have the appropriate finish and are free from defects.
2. Retain all parts that need to be repaired or refinished and fill out appropriate rework tags to ensure they are completed in a timely manner.
3. Distribute the oversize parts to the appropriate locations. Note their location on corresponding paper work.
4. Work closely with Expedite and Staging personnel to identify what oversize pieces may be missing from an order and their possible locations.
5. Locate and/or obtain angle frames and specialty items for the finish inspectors. Note locations and counts on corresponding paperwork.
6. Track and record problem orders, trends in defects, etc.
7. Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
1. Knowledge of stains, paints, wood species, common parts used and acceptable quality standards.
2. Ability to differentiate numbers.
3. Possess a basic understanding of cabinet construction.

1. Do weekly inventory and keep supply room rotated and organized.
2. To plan, execute and document daily paint mixing operations within the finishing department.
3. To become an expert at preparation, properties (physical/chemical) and performance of paint products.
4. Monitor waste to ensure compliance with company and environmental policies and regulations.
5. Assist in routine maintenance and cleaning.
6. Become proficient at running a Cefla Flatline Finish system.
7. Support quality control by providing support/advice on product composition and performance issues.
8. Ensure that the work is performed in full compliance with established OSHA safety standards.

Cleanliness of work area and equipment.
Keeping up with production as it comes through the booth.
Spraying molding, panels, tall frames, and custom pieces.
Rotate on and off with other sprayers.
Consistently spray a quality finish.
Make sure equipment is working properly and at designated pressures/specs. If not notify Team Leader.
Make sure molding rack is always cleared off (when there is two sprayers).
Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Knowledge of spray equipment.
Be able to identify imperfections when spraying and correct.
Be able to work in a fast paced factory setting.

This position requires continuous standing in one place throughout a 10-hour shift. It requires assisting/lifting approx. 40 lbs. and holding a spray gun weighing approx. 3 lbs.

Putty all spots needed prior to sanding primer.
Lightly sand primer parts with sponges unless defects are found.
Sand sealed parts with either 320 sandpaper on flat surfaces or a sanding sponge that is equivalent to 320 sandpaper on profiled areas and edges.
Fix any voids or cracks when sanding.
Sand out any defects that you may find.
If sanding through paint get to spot primed.
Help with reworks whenever possible.
Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Sand frames using a hand held orbital sander and hand held blocks and pads.
Fix and repair voids, dents, cracks, etc.
Sand doors that require hand sanding before machine processing.
Identify different wood species and know the sanding requirements for each.
Be responsible for counting/accounting for all pieces, documenting and signing off on all orders.
Inspect and position pieces for machine sanding.
Touch up problem areas missed in machine sanding.
Perform final inspection of pieces and transport orders to finishing areas.
Perform duties in an efficient and quality manner.
Understand and follow company policy.
Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
